Flash Legend results!

15 May

Everybody gather ’round…

We’ve always had a soft spot for urban legends and campfire stories. For this contest, you didn’t disappoint, with a strong showing of imaginative takes on unnervingly familiar material along with some truly unique new ways to make things go bump in the night.

As usual, we saw a heavy influx of submissions from the U.S. and the U.K., and we were pleased to also read work from authors stationed in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy, and New Zealand.  We also saw a Molotov first, with two people who apparently live at the same address each scoring a slot in the Top 10 (must be something in the water).

The following writers had stories that made it through several rounds of cuts, but didn’t quite squeak into the Top 10.

Close-but-no-cigar shortlist shout-outs go to:

Lex Avis
Drew Barth
Steve Campbell
Michael Carter (2)
F. E. Clark
